It occurred to me
right then
how
deliciously fragile you are

I wanted to climb down
the words in your
throat, and coo
your heart.

You’ve seen the
stars in my eyes
to compliment the
moon in yours.

And how we light up
in infatuation, our
romance is
the glow of fire light.

I’m so in
love with your way, I realized,
when I tore away the wool
that occluded me from you.

You’ve got a beaming
halo and this
smile that loves me in
all its radiance.

I keep you for myself,
little pieces of you have
inevitably become
a part of me.

I don’t mind if you
don’t mind.
I keep your voice tucked
behind my ear.

And your eyes in
the back of my
mind; you know they’re
always overflowing.

I keep my home in
your arms and
my heart in the trusty grip
of your fingerprints.

My laugh is in your
sensitive sides
and at the end of your
toes.

I have your breath on
my collarbone, and your
touch on my cheeks and
your lips on my neck.

See, I love you
devotedly. And a bunch of
other adjectives that are ever
still an underestimation of us.

And if that’s alright with
you, I’ll love you
enchantedly until my
heart bursts.
